EnVyUs: "We'll try to destroy them"

We talked to EnVyUs before their semi-final clash against GPlay and asked whether they are looking for revenge against the Bulgarians who beat them in the opening match of the tournament.

GPlay took down EnVyUs on day one of SLTV StarSeries XIII Finals 16-14 on Dust2, and eventually both teams advanced to the playoffs with three wins and were paired up in the semi-final.

SmithZz and Happy expect a win against GPlay 

Before their match we caught Edouard "⁠SmithZz⁠" Dubourdeaux to ask him a few questions about their mindset:

In the group phase GPlay made a statement – they will not go out without a fight. Last time you said you made a lot of mistakes, so basically you let them win. You now picked Dust2, the same map, are you looking for brutal revenge?

No, we just did it for ourselves, Dust2 is a really good map for us and we just want to, not show them, but show us that we can be good on it. We beat Na`Vi yesterday on it and we're just very confident on it.

Did they earn your respect in the previous match?

Yea of course. Like I said we underestimated them a bit, but not too much. When you go to a LAN where there is only Na`Vi as a contender for the final, that can beat us, or is better than us at the moment, you don't take the match really seriously.

But still, we have been pro players for a long time and of course we don't underestimate teams, we just don't want to win as much against GPlay as we do when we play fnatic. We're not the same EnVy.

Of course they played really good, they showed really great things, they deserved to win and they deserved to be in the semi-final.

They won some sympathies from the crowd, they have energy, it's possible that the crowd will back them up now. Would that upset you?

Yea of course, it helps a lot. Today they can show presence again like they did yesterday.

It's Counter-Strike, so anything can happen I think. I hope the best team will win, and if that's GPlay, it will be GPlay.

Vincent "⁠Happy⁠" Schopenhauer also added:

"We'll be really cautious because they beat us already, but yea, we will try to destroy them"

The winner of this match will proceed to the grand final to meet Natus Vincere in a Bo5 clash later today.
